Making big changes: How to discern between fear and a legitimate concern

I've got to admit that whenever I put myself out there more with WMM I get feelings of fear and worry. What if I'm not able to help someone? What if I look silly? I was talking to a friend earlier this week, and they were encountering similar thoughts as they were trying something near and dear to their heart as well.

I heard on a podcast episode recently someone explain how to tell the difference between fear and your ego keeping you safe in your comfort zone. She said that when your heart and soul are talking to you, your thoughts come across as a plurality, like "We". When it's your ego trying to keep you safe in your comfort zone, your thoughts are focused on "I". The difference between "Let's (let us) help people!" versus "I'm going to look like an idiot!"

So this week, whenever I've encountered fear while trying something new, I've kept this in mind. I hope you can find this helpful too ❤️
